about
'Where We Belong' starts off strongly with 'Walking Disaster', a powerful heavy, yet uplifting song influenced by some of our favorite "breakdown" bands. 'Walking Disaster' is about looking back at what you have said and done in the past and realizing that some of it might be bad. It's also about learning from those bad decisions and finding something that matters to you and makes you a better person. This song is a great introduction to what Bad Captain is and the message we want to deliver.
lyrics
I was at a standstill it seems
I had no one to trust and nowhere to be
I had lost my way in my broken dreams
And all that I loved had been taken from me so I
Led a life of dissatisfaction
With broken heart and no self esteem
I was a reckless mess of aggressive reactions
And I pushed you all away from me
I was a walking disaster
But somehow I knew that I was getting so close
To finding the one thing that matters
So I never gave up and now I know that
I was a walking disaster
(But together we can be something more than dreamers)
I’ll fight until I get what I’m after
Get ready, I’m starting all over
I made a series of bad decisions
Followed by multiple overreactions
So they’ve stopped caring a long time ago
But I guess it’s good ‘cause I don’t anymore
I’ve found what I need to be perfectly happy
And there’s no way in hell that you can take it from me
Just watch as we set out to conquer the world
And show you what we’re really worth
(‘Cause together we can be something more than)
I was a walking disaster
But somehow I knew that I was getting so close
To finding the one thing that matters
So I never gave up and now I know that
I was a walking disaster
(But together we can be something more than just dreamers)
We’ll fight until we get what we’re after
Get ready, this is our takeover
