1.
I walk a road Walked before so many times by so many people Where some will join And others will just bring you down to ascertain their survival While they’ll say That there is not a thing left to be thought You’ll think That there is not a thing left to be said Well I will pay whatever the price And fight to get my shot To someday get to say I’ll come across So many burnned down souls who will just wander off in silence But I’ll go on And remind myself of what I can do to try to make a difference CHORUS That I’m on top of the world I’m on top of the world I’m on top of the world And it’s just for you CHORUS That I’m on top of the world I’m on top of the world I’m on top of the world And it’s just for you
2.
He thought she thought he could stay But it’s not that easy she said How can you knock on my door Things are so wrong in my head He’s standing out in the cold She’s lying down on her bed These things they never get old But she can’t understand I hope you know, hope it showed That I did try everything Just for you, just for us And if it didn’t mean anything I can go on without I’ll be thinking Only time will tell If we will meet again He puts the blame on himself Thinking how can I be right She always seems so upset But he tried his best tonight CHORUS I’ve got some bad news for you I know it’s hard to let go I’ve got some bad news for you I hope you know how to let go Well I’ve got some bad news for you I know it’s hard to let go I’ve got some bad news for you I think it’s time to let go CHORUS
3.
We Are 05:01
Don’t look outside Everything green is out of sight As they’ll fight to survive They’ll wonder what was on your minds What if we were The ones chosen to do this Yeah together We could forever change things Misinformation Tells you to avert your eyes Controlling the nation As it hears these intricate lies Will there ever Be anyone there to listen Or will we forever Sit as we do nothing But I so often dream that We are the generation who’ll say this: We are the generation who’ll change it cause We need a revolution for our future to exist What if we were to change things Wake up it’s time For all of us to realize That something must be done For your children to survive What if you were The one chosen to change things Then together We could forever change things Cause I so often dream that CHORUS

Don’t sit next to me Stop holding my hand Look me right in the eye I’ve made up my mind Don’t try and stop me Listen to what you can I just hope I just hope you'll understand You will never be the one I just cant wait To see the way That smile of yours Just comes right off your face When you hear That sometime near Someone else Someone else will take your place Don’t sit next to me Stop holding my hand Look me right in the eye I’ve made up my mind You will never be the one I can’t wait to see the way That smile just comes right of your face When you hear that sometime near Yeah someone else will take your place

about

After quite a few years of writing, rehearsing and playing live as Track Map Liberty, we knew we had to release an EP. We recorded our five favourite songs and called this EP "ep" (You don't say?!) We had planned to have a launch party, a big release event, the whole nine yards, but then our bassist left the band. We launched the EP incognito on iTunes, like throwing yet another penny in a big fountain already full of pennies, wishing for the best... It's still available on iTunes, with the original black-and-white and silhouette artwork for $4.95, but this here is a better offer!

After multiple failed attempts at finding the right bassist and over a year of rehearsing without playing any shows, we were starting to get tired! We were wondering if we were even going to continue with the band. But in the fall of 2011, we finally found Nic Bert and everything changed! We became Bad Captain! We wrote plenty of new songs, we had a fresh new positive attitude and the same big dreams!

As we started recording Where We Belong, our debut album, we re-released the EP with the concept artwork and renamed it "track map liberty ep" (...Captain Obvious again). It's a big part of Bad Captain's history and evolution, and it's all yours. For free!

Enjoy! Spread the word and make sure to grab our debut album "Where We Belong"!
